Mr. Vargas’s foundation as an advocate began in law school, where he competed in mock trial. As a finalist in multiple competitions, he gained early courtroom experience and sharpened the advocacy skills that would later shape his career. Those experiences placed him alongside some of the strongest advocates in the field and prepared him for the intensity of real-world litigation.
From the start of his legal career, Mr. Vargas gained invaluable experience interning with a fast-paced criminal defense law firm. That early exposure allowed him to work on a wide range of cases, from misdemeanors to serious felonies, and equipped him with the knowledge and confidence to represent clients facing some of life’s toughest challenges.
Since then, Mr. Vargas has taken cases to trial, advocating for clients charged with offenses ranging from DWI and drug possession to violent crimes and other felony matters. He has also represented clients during the punishment phase of trial, fighting to secure the best possible outcome even after guilt has been determined.
